Distance Learning Curriculum Integration Workshop

This is a workshop intended to help teachers, administrators, and technology coordinators design curriculum, which integrate distance learning technologies through the Vision Athena Network and other related distance learning resources.

Topics:

• Learning how to access Distance Learning resources
• How to expand project based curriculum beyond the classroom
• How to find funding sources to support projects
• How to deal with issues that affect project design
• Technical assistance and training to support project design

Participants will generate project ideas through exposures to distance learning connections, existing model projects, and be given time to design their own projects and to work on CEC grant writing to support the project.

Anticipated Outcomes:

• A project outline
• A finished (or nearly finished) teacher grant (Optional)
• A functional knowledge of how to integrate DL into curriculum
• A shared presentation of project outlines
