Partners
The CRLT had its birth in the successful collaboration of businesses, government
agencies, the University, and private foundations. CRLT's list of partners continues
to grow. So does the list of school districts and individual educators who work
with the Center to bring new ways of learning to an ever-broadening number of
people.
University students are invited to join CRLT as interns, student associates
and student research associates. Student participants gain valuable experience
and sometimes class credit.
ISIS Project
The International Studies for Indiana Schools (ISIS) project was created jointly
by Office of International
Programs(OIP) and Center for Research on Learning and Technology in 1995.
Its purpose is to use interactive video (IAV) technologies to deliver tailored
international programming to schools in Indiana and other states.
ISIS also provides orientations to IAV equipment and programming. As it evolves,
ISIS is facilitating direct connections between Indiana classrooms and classrooms
or speakers abroad.
Visit ISIS home page to learn
more about this educational initiative.
WorldBoard
Project
WorldBoard is a powerful new information and communication technology being
developed and promoted by the WorldBoard Forum. At its most basic level, WorldBoard
enables people to associate Web objects with a PLACE - Proximity and Location
to Access Contextual Enlightenment. This enhancement of the Web enables anyone
to virtually attach information, tools and serrvices to any location on the planet
or, using an identification tag, to objects or people in the environment.
The design goals of the WorldBoard Project are to:
- Be operational on a planetary scale from day one
- Be technology independent and able to improve rapidly as technology advances
- Be based on open standards so everyone can participate
- Be so simple that people can use it in everyday life
